Grade 10

Since colleges take a tenth grader’s grades into consideration, sophomores should take initiatives and a proactive interest in their studies.

Sophomores should study hard and consider doing extra-credit work to strengthen their academic records. They should seek long term opportunities for extracurricular activities that will train them and let them make achievements in leadership, community service, research, or employment. In addition, sophomores should start preparations for the PSAT and SAT, or take a few standardized tests, such as PSAT, SAT IIs and APs. Furthermore, it is also the time that students start researching about colleges to learn about college admissions requirements.

Our message to sophomores is: plan and do whatever you can now so that your junior year and the later application process will go more smoothly. We are here to assist you in your early success.
